The Cumberland Valley men’s and women’s Varsity water polo teams both came up short on Thursday night against top rival Wilson High School. The men lost 12-9 to the Bulldogs, while the women lost 15-10.

Leading the Eagles in scoring was senior Pat Daley who scored 4 goals, added three assists and had one steal. Senior Kenny Milburn scored twice and three steals while juniors Andrew Hamilton scored once and had two each in the assist and steal column and Johnny Kesler had two goals, one assist and one steal. Senior goalie Adam Wenner had six saves and three steals.

The Lady Eagles had a balanced scoring attack. Junior Mackenzie Ferry had two goals and two each for assists and steals. Freshman Hannah Sunday scored twice and had an assist and steal. Michelle St. OmerRoy had a goal and one assist. Seniors Heather and Michelle Miller each added a goal, as did sophomores Shannon Hillery and Alex Bornman. Senior goalie McKenzie Graf had 3 saves and five steals.

The CV Junior Varsity teams played well. The Men’s JV team gained an early lead but managed to end up with a 7-7 tie, while the Women’s JV team played to a 5-3 win.

Both Eagle teams play host to Muhlenberg on Tuesday, September 23 at the Cumberland Valley High School natatorium.
